Soft and fluffy american style pancakes are not as difficult to make from scratch. Cook with blueberries or sliced banana, spread with Nutella, peanut butter or pour over with maple syrup… I don’t know about you, but I love sweet breakfast. If you want to find out how to load up the energy level to the max – read the recipe below 😉
This recipe should cover 2-3 adult portions.
- 200g self raising flower
- 1 tea spoon of baking powder (yes, it’s extra)
- cinnamon or vanilla (anything really – up to your tastebuds to decide)
- 1 tea spoon of sugar (this is not necessity)
- pinch of salt
- 1 medium size egg
- 250ml milk
- knob of butter
- butter/vegetable oil (for cooking)
Combine the flower with the extra bit of baking powder, add some cinnamon/vanilla, sugar, a pinch of salt.
Beat the egg into the milk and add melted. Stir well and mix it into the flour.
Into this kind of mixture you can add blueberries, chocolate chips, sliced banana… Anything you wish really 🙂
Cook pancakes in heated pan with some butter and vegetable oil.
I love eating my pancakes with Nutella, peanut butter, maple syrup, whipped cream or yoghurt.
