The brow game been strong since Cleopatra. That woman knew that nothing frames a face so beautifully like perfectly shaped brows. Being a busy mama, I was delighted to find out that The Body Shop got an eyebrow threading bar in their shops all over Ireland.

Here I was with my bushy eyebrows before the threading. I had been proudly growing them out for about two months then and was getting very excited to make an appointment with The Body Shop in Shop Street, Galway.

Connie Goss, the eyebrow threading specialist (I’d like to call her the eyebrow fairy!), made me feel welcome and comfortable in the beauty chair as she was getting ready to thread my brows. Did you know that eyebrow threading is five times better (if not more!) than waxing? It’s safe and perfect for sensitive skin, there are no dangerous chemicals used, it’s quick (much quicker than plucking, for example), lasts long and doesn’t give you skin burns.

I felt like my brows were in trustworthy hands as Connie filled them in, measured, trimmed and threaded. Here I was thinking that there could be no other perfectionist when it comes to brows, but I was oh so wrong as Connie kept checking if they are even and if I’m happy with the shape.

All that sounds like a lot of work, but even my toddler barely got bored at the shop as he kept a close eye on me 🙂 It was so quick and perfect that you could even fit the treatment into your lunch break!

As my eyebrows naturally match my hair colour, I didn’t want them tinted but you can definitely get tinting done at The Body Shop too (don’t forget to get a patch test done at least 24 hours before the treatment though!) but she kindly filled them in for me using The Body Shop eyebrow & liner kit.

I am really grateful to The Body Shop for giving me this opportunity to get pampered at the shop. Being a mom sometimes you forget to look after yourself. My “eyebrow fairy” Connie definitely made me feel like a princess and so all the girls at the shop. I was also given quite a few product samples to try so keep an eye for a blog post and review in the near future!
